Authentication information: The extension stores your GitHub Personal Access Token and repository (owner/name) so it can access your GitHub repository to list branches, browse files, and read or update file content when you use Push or Pull. This data is stored locally in your browser (Chrome sync storage) and is sent only to GitHub’s API when you perform a sync action.- Website content: When you use “Push to GitHub,” the extension reads the content of the current Skool page (the lesson or post you are editing) and sends it to your GitHub repository. When you use “Pull from GitHub,” it reads file content from your repository and inserts it into the Skool editor. This content is only transferred between your Skool tab and your GitHub repo at your direction; we do not store it on our own servers or use it for any other purpose.-
Mappings and settings: The extension stores your page-to-file mappings (which Skool page is linked to which GitHub file), your default folder path, and your last selected branch. This is stored locally in your browser to provide the sync functionality.-
Subscription status: The extension uses a third-party billing provider to offer a trial and paid plans. The provider may receive an identifier (e.g. extension ID and a user ID) to check subscription status and to open checkout or account management pages. Payment and billing data are handled by that provider on their site; the extension does not collect or store payment details.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your data.- We do not use your data for advertising or for purposes unrelated to syncing content between GitHub and Skool.- We do not collect your name, email, or other personally identifiable information unless you provide it to the billing provider on their site.- We do not collect web history, location, or general browsing activity.
Where data is sent
GitHub (api.github.com): Your token, repo identifier, and file content (when you push) or file paths (when you pull) are sent to GitHub’s API so the extension can read and write repository content.-
Skool (skool.com): The extension runs only on Skool pages. Content is injected into or read from the page in your browser; we do not send your Skool content to our own servers.-
Billing provider: The extension contacts the billing provider’s servers to check subscription status and to open payment/management pages. Any data sent there is limited to what is needed for that purpose.
## Data storage
All configuration and mapping data (token, repo, mappings, settings) is stored in your browser using Chrome’s storage APIs. It is not transmitted to the developer’s servers.
